NATIONAL COUNCIL OF AFRICAN WOMEN
- ILLINOIS BRANCH

Do unto others as you would have them do to you.

Who We Are

National Council of African Women, Illinois Branch is dedicated to empowering women and children of African descent. We aim to provide charitable services and educational awareness to at-risk communities.

The international project of our parent body for the 2000s is the HIV/AIDS initiative, centered around the orphans of South Africa. We aim to provide economic empowerment, food and clothing. Our efforts will help to build shelters and clinics, as well as combat the spread of HIV/AIDS through intensive education.

We are… A NONPROFIT SERVING HUMANITY!

Our Philosophy

Every human being on earth has the right to educational and spiritual resources to lead a meaningful and rewarding life. Our values at NCAW are the following:

  • Promoting self-help among members of different communities
  • Serving as an information resource on the needs and interests of families in the communities
  • Organize, initiate and support such projects to address the needs and interests of different sections of the community, such as people with special needs and the youth
  • To activate problem solving for different segments of communities experiencing crises
